Connecting & Setting The Fuel Pressure Regulator.

The regulator used is a "rising rate regulator", this means that the fuel pressure from the regulator into the carb rises in accordance with the boost pressure. The regulator need to be set so that the fuel pressure is always higher than the boost pressure. This is to ensure the fuel pressure in the float chamber is always above that of the carb mouth.

Connections.
The top left connection goes to the plenum chamber & is the bost pressure sensing pipe, the bottom left is the fuel feed to the carb, the one underneath is the fuel return to the tank and the one on the right is the fuel feed from the pump into the regulator.

Setting.
To set the fuel pressure you will need a gauge like the one pictured on the left. To adjust the regulator you need to loosen the nut on the top of the unit and adjust the screw, to either increase or decrease the pressure as required.
The fuel pressure needs to be set so that it gives 3-4psi when the engine is at idle. The pressure should then rise as the boost pressure rises, and should stay 3-4psi above the boost pressure at any point.
To adjust the pressure simply undo the locknut and turn the screw until the desired pressure is reached. Remember to tighten the locknut again.
